After my shed loads of hassle last year with my System 5 helmet's interior falling to bits and B@* taking 4 months to get the bits to fix it the forehead vent has now fallen to bits and the cover for the chin vent looks like it will soon follow.
Mill claim this is a one off and that the vent cover is not available seperately. no doubt a precursor to another 'This is rider abuse scenario and not covered by warranty'
Anyway i'm taking it back to try and get another lid or a refund, has anyone else had problems with the vents on their System 5 falling to bits and what was the result of any claim.
I love the styling of the helmet and how quiet it is but he build quality is woeful in comparison to my old System 4 and my wife's Schuberth

Had mine about 6 months and not had any problems as yet.... Painfull until it wore in to the egg head shape of my bonse!

Mike, how long before your system 5 became comfortable? I'm finding that mine is a bit tight on the right side of my forehead and after about 30 minutes I get a headache. I've only worn it 3 - 4 times and so I know it's early days.

I don't really want to have to shave my head if I can be confidant that it'll improve.

Thanks.

Mine started off really tight and I was worried that I had bought too small.

After 6 months ~4,000miles with lots of short trips, it now feels quite loose:(

it took a good couple of months to get right...At one point I too thought I bought the wrong size. I did push the foam a little on the parts that hurt my head though. Bear with it and it will be perfect if you can put up with the pain!........... May be worth pressing the foam in slightly in the place it hurts and gives you a headach. Took ages to fit though

Got it sorted BMW are replacing a perfectly sound 18 months old helmet for the sake of a 50 pence plastic vent cover which they will not or can not supply as a spare part !
At least the new lid has a further 2 year warranty and at this rate I will never have to buy a new helmet again.
