Thats the exact colour i like hate helmets full of graphics. I heard it was meant to be march or april. Thinking of doing the offroad course at BMW on 12-13 April would like it for going down.

To be certain that the information you desire is correct, wouldn't a BMW dealership be best to ask?

They had one on the BMW stand at the NEC in December and they did'nt know when it would be on sale or how much it would sell for, differant shape to the system 5,lighter an with a dop down sun shield

The guys at NOG was saying that they expect them around mid-March.

I can't help but think there are a few system 5's to be sold yet...

Should be released around March time I keep hearing, £325.- for plain, £355.- for patterned, price from a previous post,

It has appeared on BMW motorrad UK website, can't wait to see the comms system:D

I tried one on today in Chandlers Brighton Motorrad.

Very nice indeed. Ordered mine today...

Ocean (Plymouth) say 'before' the end of this month. :nenau

Tried one on today. I like the fit, the flip doesn't rise so high in the air so acts less like a wind brake. The inbuilt sunscreen is good and access for fitting helmet speakers is easy. The only drawback for me is that it cannot be converted into a jet helmet like the System 4 and System 5 helmets.

Tried to disassemble the flip part to see what it would be like without the visor and flip (just relying on the sunscreen for eye protection) but it's clear the flip part is not meant to be user-removable. Great shame.

Is the new BMW System 6 not largely based on the Schuberth C3, effectively like a rebadged, dare I say "economy" version (less noise protection etc)?

That said, I wish the visor on my allegedly "premium" C3 would stay open and not slam shut at speeds of over 35-40mph. Will be interesting to see if System 6 users report any similar traits, but the visor and mounting mechanism could be different....

System 6 is closely related to the C3 as is well known. The quality is much the same but the fit is a little different especially in the forehead area. Much better for my head :thumb2

I tried the System 6 a couple of times at the bike show and also the C3 again for comparison. There's defiantly a difference between the two.

Had a ride to CW in Dorchester today, they're expecting the System 6 in any day....

Lets hope it doesn't drip cold water onto your nose when it rains, like the System 5 does.
