Guys (and gals), it seems that the ratchet system on the System 6 helmet isn`t the best..............

I`ve got a replacement set but am simply too damn stupid to be able to figure out how I get the covering plate off to replace the black flimsy `matchstick` thing :blast If I force it I will break it so does anyone know how to do it please?

Also, and whilst I have the possibility of the post being read I have some news, not good, but I was at the docs recently (don`t go, they always find something wrong with you!).

I haven`t been on the forum recently, there is a reason for it.

I was initially seeing the doc for exhaustion (dunno why, I do fekk all) - long story short I have a serious heart blockage :(

I`m in the system now so I`m gonna be fine :bounce1 (woohoo) and I look forward to many more tosser fests, pissed as a fart and talking b*llocks (no change there then).

This slipped out during a recent post and I was overwhelmed with the PM`s I got from some of the lads (you know who you are guys, (JB, Keith B, Nuts to name just a few) and thanks :bow).

So, those who know me (properly) know that I`m always keen to help a fellow tosser, that won`t change - if anyone needs my (engineering) help it remains there for good people (sorry Nuts :D)....................................only joking Nuts.

The rub is that I might not react as quickly as I would like, please bear with me, its nothing personal I just have to slooooooow down somewhat!

So, in a nutshell:

1. Please help me with this fekkin ratchet :D
2. If anyone needs my help I`m there for them, albeit slower.
3. I`ll be fine as I`m in the system now :bounce1

Ride safe fella`s and see you all soon :thumb2

There was a memo out a couple of years back about a problem with the mechanism jamming if the visor was up, and then you opened the chingaurd, a small plastic latch would jam up the works leaving it unable to close the visor again.
Both my wife's and mine were repaired by the dealer who had a redesigned bit of plastic that prevented it popping out and jamming. System 6 not evo. Only took 5 mins and just one screw either side, I think.
Look after yourself

My very best wishes Mark.

Well done to you for being investigated.

These stents operations are extremely routine these days - I have two friends and four work colleagues who had them "installed" and each was 100% successful (even over a period of many years). You should look forward with absolute confidence but sure you already know that. :-)

Season's Greetings Mark

PS I suspect the helmet would be fixed foc at your supplying dealer. I have a faint recollection that the helmet was the subject of an upgrade.

Can't help you with your helmet....ooh er...
But all the best with your treatment Mark, as I might need another one of your shiny bits again.:D

Sorry to hear you've not been well. Good luck with the op - and wishing you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Likewise, shocked to hear you aren't in full health, but glad it's fixable in the near future.

Take it easy fella and have a good Xmas.

Sorry to hear about your ill-health Mark but very glad that it's been caught and is fixable :thumb

As I've just got myself a new (to me) TC, I can see me being in touch about some of your stuff.

Take care

Matt
