System Cases and Tob box..

I have two system panniers and have recently bought a second hand top box.

My sysem panniers are key matched to each other, but not the ignition key. So i need to get that done at some point.

My new second hand top box, only has one key and its sticky and jams in the lock a bit. so..

1. Can i get a new lock for it?
2. Can you get the same lock to be keyed to your system panniers?

If so.. does anyone know how much it generally might cost.

Aha - simple fix told to me by a certain City Slicker and it works. The reason that the key sticks is because the latching mechanism does not fully close when the box is shut. The remedy? Hit the top of the Top box after you have shut it to settle it on to the rubber seals. Bingo - key now goes in and turns easily.

I stripped and checked mine twice before being made aware of this!

Give the top box a light whallup on the lid once you have put the lid down and closed the handle and whalllaa! key comes out without any binding on the lock..

Cheers rooster.. works a treat.. now i just need to orde a second key.. as i only have the one and my local locksmith cannot get the blank.. fudge..
