System panniers

As is obvious I am new to my bike, a 1995 1100gs.. It has BMW pannier rails.. I know that the panniers to fit are smaller on the left due to the exhaust however I would like to know which other model panniers fit straight onto my bike? Looking on EvilBAY shows that if 1100GS or 1150GS is in the title they sell for far more than other models! Apologies if`this has been asked numerous times before.....

Panniers for the R850R, R1100R & R1150R will also fit as they have the same profile for the left side due to the exhaust.

Expect to pay in the region of £150 to £200 for a pair of second hand ones, depending on condition, timing and seller

Nearer to the Spring/Summer season they will be dearer.

Touratech also sell metal ones that fit straight onto the system rails but I personally would not go for those.

PS. Welcome and enjoy your GS, everyone knows the 1100GS is the best one to get.
