System V visor

I am finding the visor mists up badly and very quickly in damp weather in spite of (or because of?) the anti-mist coating. The problem is far worse than any other helmet I have had. Has anyone else found this to be an issue, and/or found a solution to the problem?

Hi Stroller. yes - I have discovered the same problem - all summer long - best helmet I've ever owned - but now it's cold and damp I do have a problem where the interior of the visor mists up almost the instant it's closed down. On the move the problem is not much better. I'm finding that I need to ride with the visor open in 1st position. I ahvn''t tried to find a solution yet. The vent on the chin piece seems to make no difference open or closed.

Yep. The vent at the front doesn't seal very well. Mine tends to get a narrow band of moisture up the front of the visour.

According to Matt at NOG - Anti fog visor (double skin) for System 5 is available at £65 inc Vat. Pheww!

I fitted a Fog city reactolite (£35) but it still doesn't stop the strip of moisture.

Hi Rob - are you saying that the source of the moisture is the chin vent - ie dampness getting in rather than condensation building up? I never thought of that! Dur.

The lip on the front of mine has a gap even when it's shut. Even though I've tried the inner sliding bit in different places I always get a wet strip inside the visor. I think it's a combination of moisture getting in and breath. The fog city stops the whole thing steaming up but not the damp strip. I ought to try taping it up but you know what it's like?...when it's raining it's too wet to be bothered and when it's dry it's as good as any helmet

I now use Rain X Glass wipes with Anti Fog.
