System4 crash helmet

After 4 months, my visor no longer fits snug and the lid is now windy and noisy.
Before I go and beat up the dealers- has anyone else had this problem?
Ive dismantled and cleaned the lid but there apears no sign of anything to adjust or infact wear out. Im going to try a replacemnt visor- which none of the London area dealers seem to stock- failing that- a system 5 lid-but after such a short time.,..

Pat, I think you'll find the wind & noise comes from the top seal which gets damaged by the mesh bit under your chin as you flip & unflip. According to my dealer its not a part that can be replaced

So I ended up shelling out for a Sys5, which is great except the anti-mist coating doesn't last

If you have removed the visor and the chin-bar, check that the plastic lug that the chin-bar hinge locates into hasn't been bent out of shape.

If it is, it can stop the visor closing fully.

If it's damaged badly and cannot be returned to the correct shape, the hinge mechanism is a 'service' item but they come in pairs. The whole plate is replaced and you need a very, very small Torx to change it.
