tail bags ??

As you have guessed,i am a new owner and i want to have all the opinion i can get for "accesorizing" the perfect GS.

Any ideas,links,photos, of tail bags , besides touratech??? (and cheaper maybe..?)

I'm using a Hein Gericke tank bag as a tail bag. I'm not sure of the model number (the bag was given to me in exhange for an old tyre ) but its the type that has 4 metal hooks on straps with adjustable plastic buckle clips that then clip onto the bag. The hooks are meant to fix around the base of a tank but you don't need these, just the straps and plastic clips. Junk the hooks, and use some of the spare straps that come with the bag to make two long straps that will pass under the passenger seat. Fit the 4 plastic clips that came with the hooks to these long straps and then just attach to the bag. Sounds complicated in words but its obvious when you see the bag. It makes a perfect tail bag which won't fall off, can be removed instantly and it is even fitted with a dinky little carrying handle, a map pocket and expanding section. And it costs bugger all!

Yes, Mouse's bag is similar to the HG one, but with the HG design you don't need to use a bungee, but adjustable straps. Try this link to the HG German site
