Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows of a twin bulb tail light conversion for an 1150GS? I thought i saw a thread awhile ago but my search revealed nowt.
many thanks. :nenau

Hmmmmm?
I was looking to go down the NN route but the two of you bickering :P about how good or bad they are has made me hesitate. £65 is a lot if they aren't an improvement on the standard ones.
Can you both give me your reasons for and against these lights (in no more than 20 words)

Many Thanks

Steve B

Touratech

Mine be on for 3 years and no problem can't see them tomorrow in Ditcheat because I'll be on the 80

MMM has bought some as well

Had the TTech twin tail light on my 1100. one word for it....SHITE

Very plasticy, only lasted six months/15000 miles before no more tail lights (although brake lights still worked)

Took it off and put the standard tail light back on plus a NN LED. Superb.
Don't know where the dim bit comes from as it is far brighter than with a standard bulb both on just the light and on the brake light.

.......you follow one Les - they're pitifully dim and useless IMO

Sherpa ;)

There are a couple of types of LED bulbs, some you can only see from full on directly behind ( if you move 1 foot to the side you can't see them  beware the cheap bulbs ) , and the type you can see just like a normal rear light -

So just make sure you get the correct LED bulb.

Can we (OK Me) assume that NN uses the correct bulbs????????

Touratech tail lights

I've had the Tourtech twin light set up on my 1150 for 8 months and god knows how many corrugations and have had no problems at all, at all. I did have reservations about the thickness of the mounts and the exposed wiring but have been pleasantly surprised by the results. They are good and bright, too, unlike the pathetic original candle.
