Got my insurance renewal in the post today from Carole nash offering me a "competitively priced" quote...
1361.22 euro!!
Are they having a laugh?!

Try ringing Carole Nash back to see what the story is. At least you might get an explanation. I've always found them easy to deal with on the phone. DONT ring quinn. Their operators are morons.

They quoted me €689.30 for comp on 08 GSA and a 04 DRZ.
New business, not renewal, though.
Oh, it may also have something to do with my not being 21 anymore (well, quite a while actually)
How many years no claims do you have?

When I was ringing around and told them I was, I was asked what the other quotes were!

was with CN myself for years.. and they cant seem to get under the 1k mark with me.... no matter what age I am ..

rang AON.. got €436 FC on a 08 GSA, but only cause I had a van policy with them (AXA) and they discounted the bike policy by 50%

so I rang Adelaide... €450 FC, no strings...
:thumb

buttso....

Carole Nash €340 Full Comp including medical cover.

Every year I get a massive increase on the policy........I ring them and tell them I'm getting a much better quote elsewhere and it drops to on average €300 which I still think is expensive considering I have 38 years of no claims.

try bennetts
my quote fully comp £120 04 1150 gsa
also try tesco online in fact try everybody Ebike

This is very similiar to my own story. I get a silly renewal, phone them up and get it back down to close to what I paid previous year. I think I actually got it under €300 this year for an 1100GS and a Ducati Monster.

same here I get a silly quote, ring them and bingo around 320 mark.
Maby they have shares in a phone co. ? JJH
DO NOT GO NEAR QUINN I MADE THAT MISTAKE WITH CAR INSURENCE
when I went to move having had no clames they messed me arround with the ncb cert. had to threaten legal action to get it that was about 10 years ago JJH

Quinn are only for people who absolutely can not get insurance anywhere else. An insurance assessor told me they're a nightmare to deal with if you've a claim as well, so avoid avoid avoid!

CN have also started charging for temp transfers and in some cases won't allow them at all, so if you need a loan bike for the day they won't do it.

that high

I put Quinn in the same class as RyanAir. Hate them.....

You actually rate Quinn that highly:eek:

Andy is right, CN recently refused to transfer my cover to a loan bike. "we only do like with like". 5yr old RT to 1yr old GS:blast

But they usually come down a bit when you ring.

My adelaide renewal came in today at £162.75
Fully comp protected NCB. :D

was only paying 108 for hornet

pay 103 for funduro

quinns suck dong according to tipp uncle paddy

I have 4 bikes on CN policy with full no claims, came in a few weeks ago at 470, they rang me about 8 times before renewal, when it came to paying I queried the price and it dropped to 405 within seconds..
Dont kno what the breakdown recovery is like with other companies, but CN have been excellent from any reports I,ve heard, and last year they picked up my mates bike in Donegal about 10 o clock on a friday night and delivered him and the bike back to wicklow the next morning at his choice...

Just got a quote today from Adelaide.
2 Bikes Comp €531.05 + €45 breakdown
Quinn €657.53 PER BIKE
AON €706
Carole Nash €689.30 - €650 excess, no temp transfer to newer bike.

Anybody know of a reason to be wary of Adelaide. If not, and I've seen no negative comments to date, they're getting my business.
