It's 10.50 PM on October 3rd and I've just found this thread.....Bugger! :blast

:blast Bugger, replied to the wrong thread :blast

Big 'thank you' to Og (& Red Zone) for last nite :clap:clap

Very informative. Now looking forward to the 'practical' stuff :bounce1

Thank you all for supporting the night :thumb

Hatchet,
not me - it took a woman to think of bringing Sweeties :D
GSGirl,
:bow yum!- how did you know i was a chocoholic?! :D
T900,
cool! nice one! :clap
RtRon,
ohhh feck :o - there WILL be a follow up to this - watch this space :thumb

right folks - how was it for you? did you get what you came for? did it make you want to know more? did it make sense? did i talk enough boll... waffle? :augie
more important - were those leather sofas comfy enough? (where would ya get it?! - got to say; A Big Thank you to Redzone M/Cycles!:clap)

and...
where to next?
what would you like?
i suggest;
1./ low speed control session; 4 hours?
and / or
2./ small groups max of 3- onroad - say 4 or 5:nenau hours duration. YOU arrange to team up with 1 or 2 mates and then you can practice together and then ...gang up on me :blast ;)
(best phone me to go over exactly whats involved)
3./ if we want to go for more i.e; a largER group / "Observed ride" it will take more planning / commitment and time to sort out.
hence my suggestions 1 and 2 to begin with at least.

over to you :)

Ideally I'd favour doing 1 first & then progressing to 2 with a view to going for ROSPA (eventually).

Talk the talk

Thanks for a really informative night . Looking forward to part one and two .
LOvely sweets and bikkies . Good man in Redzone for giving his time for a bunch of tossers.:aidan

Your all very welcome, I'm glad the sweets went down well, Og I don't know many that don't like sweeties and since i'm off the fags i've turned into a sweet monster 3 weeks now :clap:clap:clap but i'm not counting. Any left over i'm sure won't go to waste. I picked up a bit too although a lot of it was over my head. but i'm glad there is others out there who are driving years that get the hibbie jibbies now and again. T900 makes it all look easy. I'd love a slow control course so I can get a better feel for the bike in a controled envirenment could we have it on the northside pleeeeeaaaaaasssssseeeee :hug:o thats to benefit me of course still a wee bit nervous

I just want to say a big thank you as well. Og you are a good teacher and have obviously loads of knowledge and very positive advice for every situation. It was also great to hear the experience of others and to realise that many of us had common issues that we would like to improve on. I would like to learn more and slow speed control would be a good start.

Really nice to meet all the other lads and lady!

Thanks again to you all and to RedZone.

Gerry

Big thanks Og :clap
I would like to maybe start at the slow stuff and work my way up to finally go for the ROSPA.
Thanks again for the very informative evening :bow hopefully be seeing you again soon :thumb2

Guys and gals,

keep an eye on Duffy's notices. I believe that negotiations are currently on-going for a slow control workshop similar to those run in the past. Feedback on them was always positive and the Garda instructors are always well received.

I have attended most of them and have never heard any complaints.

Plus it's on the North side especially for you GSgirl :aidan

I don't have any dates yet, but as soon as I hear something, I will let you know.

ear, they're and every ware

i am working on getting hold of an offroad site that is suitable . will post up details then.
but anyone else comes up with a good off road site - i would be very happy to hear from them. :thumb2

(pedant mode on)
it's "Hear Hear" btw - first used, i think in the House of Commons to gain attention for a speaker - as in "you must HEAR, HEAR what the roight 'onerable gentleman is saying!"
(pedant mode off) :D

I understand the Naas round about on the M50 might do the trick :augie
