It's funny we should cover this subject as this week end I set off to frig about with the screen to see what would work best. First tried screen angle with some sucess and then tried cutting out an old visor to stick on the top to see if it would make any difference. The best result for me was standard screen angled back a little. While I was having so much fun I forgot to slow down on the autobahn speed restriction near my turn off and managed to get myself a nice speeding fine. That night I sat down to write a note in my diary. Simply wrote......Bugger! :blast As I was flashed from the front and bikes have no number plate in the picture I am hoping to get away with it. Hmmm...we'll see. I found far less turbulence with the sceen angled back. When the screen was as far forward as possible it was very bad, definately ear plugs would be needed on a long ride with the screen left there. I was thinking of buying a touratec screen. Anyone tried one?

sort is good

Everyones talking about taller screens - my solution was to modify a very short screen found in a local shop's bargain bin (Honda aftermarket) and it totally removes the buffetting albeit at the cost of less weather protection.

TDD

I think the standard screens fine.

My 100PD came with an Ultimate Source tall screen that works well, however I cannot get on with a screen bouncing about a few inches in front of my face so I bought a new standard screen. The screens sits low enough to be out of the way and I haven't noticed any buffeting.

:confused:I recently bought one from Redboots, tosser of this site.It came off his 100PD but I fitted it to bertha. same fixing holes used. I tried it out a couple of weeks ago and found it to be excellent. It is a Wudu. I was on the A30 heading into a strong cross wind and Ive never felt the bike so stable. I could even lift the visor at (sorry Ocifer) speed. The only thing is that Bertha has a handlebar fairing and the screen is designed to fit the PD set up with a cutaway to alow the right hand handlebar and brake cylinder to go to full lock.
Now I hav'nt decided fully yet but I went to the Bike Show last week and found a great setup for my bike. I dont know if the wudu will fit on the new fairing so until I can try it I wont know exactly what I am going to do. If it wont fit I will offer it for sale on here( for the same money I paid for it).
You can see what its like by looking at Redboots pics.,

Keep the original and knock-up a screen flick
