:bounce1hi guys.has anybody got a taller screen for a r100pd.cheers tony

You might also search for the American-made Parabelum screen. Both Parabelum and Secdem are larger than the standard screen but quite different.

if you get stuck....
i have a "laminar lip"
http://www.laminarlip.com/r100gs.php
sticks on the original screen and does all a taller screen does.

i dont need it now as i got a taller screen with a different curvature, so it wont fit mine.
and anyhow - i lost the sticky bits :blast (3M dual lock, i think it's called) that held it on.

the dual lock pads can be bought online ... allegedly.:mmmm

if it's any use - drop me a p.m. and we can argue over price :D

HTH.

Got this one from Wuedo you can have for not much but you have to pay postage from France:D It's called a "Streamline" and is 440mm long Part Nr 46-63-88-50 for '91 on.

It has cleaning scratches on it, compliments of some tart in Kaz who must have used a pan scourer on the whole bike...

John

I have one of the large parabellums in the shed, although I'm not parting with it. I can do a pic if you wish, it is a real barndoor of a screen and I really must try it out sometime but I'd reckon it would act like a sail in crosswinds but would be nice and quiet behind it for those fast blasts. Got it on ebay and they do occasionally appear there. I've no idea how much they are worth though.

I had a giant Parabellum screen on an F650GS, you looked through it not over it and could ride with your visor up and talk to the pillion at 70mph, and funnily enough I never felt any problems in crosswind or overtaking HGVs. It attached to the bars.
I've still got the screen in the shed.

Hope beemerbum doesn't mind me hijacking his thread, but I guess he may be sorted as it originally dates from last year. I too am looking for a higher than standard screen to fit my 91 R100GSPD, :D

Is there a pic of it on the Motobins web site beemerbum? edit, guess its the Secdem screen looking at the Motobins site, not very good pics, don't show the whole bike so difficult to judge the overall effect. Can't seam to find the Secdem web site.

Here's the screen from the front. It is not fitted here, I've left the Ermax screen on and just loosly placed the parabellum over it.
