Tank Bag Compatibility

Good afternoon all.

An obvious question I think, but the local BMW dealer has sown the seed of doubt...........

A 1200GS (LC) tank bag should fit my 1250GS shouldn't it?

Just trying to clarify before I commit.

I asked for a tank bag to fit my bike. Was told that they had none in stock, I asked if the 1200 one would fit. He was fairly vague and non committal. I'm guessing the part numbers are different? So he could have done........
