Could anybody recommend a reasonably price tank bag for my 850GS, with magnet preferably, thanks.

Tank Bag for 850GS

Hi,
I know the initial cost is high, but I've got a Baglux cover on my 850GS and a Baglux tank bag.
The great thing is the attachment.
When you want to fill up, you just unclip the two rear fasteners and hold the bag up. Admittedly this is easier if someone else holds it.
As I have a topbox as well, I'll be honest, my tank cover is only used for holidays. But, bear in mind, that in the last two years it's been used four times on touring hols around Europe.
One great benefit over another tank bag I have for my other bike is that on the Baglux, the rain cover is permanently attached and just pulls out from a pouch underneath; very slick
Good luck
John

My tank has damaged paintwork... so rather than have it resprayed I've covered it with a Bagster cover.

NO WAY ON EARTH would i use one if I had a 'perfect tank' though....

I read a post on this a few years back by that nice Mr Steptoe... it buggers up the paintwork. (he said) But as mine is already buggered that doesn't matter.

When I finally come to have the tank resprayed then I will get rid of the Bagster. (and think good riddance)

Thanks for the tips guys, I have my sight on a couple of tank bags on Ebay. All I need for now is something to put my map and a camera when I go for my weekly day trip, nothing too fancy really.

Aldi

I hve used an Aldi Tank bag for the last 2 years (£14.99)

Magnetic and straps (used it with my K75 by gaffer taping washers to the tank first) turns into a rucksack has a zip off bum bag at the front which is ace for motorway toll tickets and credit card.

The Lidl one is nearly as good

Remember seeing them, now I wish I bought one, I know that you get what you pay for, but for the kind of use I need this would have been perfect. Now I am going to have to spent a bit more probably.
