Tank bag or bar bag? Advice please

I've always used tank bags in the past but since purchasing my F800GS I'm looking towards getting one of them there handlebar bags.

I know the handlebar bags can't hold an awful lot, but I never carry a great deal in a tank bag anyway and find they can often get in the way.

Has anyone chosen this option over a tank bag? Any advice appreciated.

I've got both. I use the bar bag all the time. You'll be amazed what you can get in them. I'm fairly sure mine is Hein Gericke Toureg. However, even on my annual Tour de France trip, the tank bag remains in the garage. I use mine to put my phone when charging, tyre pressure gauge, side stand foot, mini torch, sunglasses, all sorts really.
