Tank Bag with side bags

The bag I like. The way it's attached I don't. Looks way too messy what with having to knot the straps over the forks. Can you even see the GPS or clocks when it's extended? Think I'll stick to the Wunderlich one.

There were no instructions so I just attached it, in a slightly hurried fashion. I am sure it can be attached in a better way given some time.

However, the nylon straps will never be totally secure the slip all too easily. Much better with toothed ones.

mmmmh think you will find a much better way of attaching it after a few less beers !

Two straps buckled around side rails under seat then these buckle to rear buckles on bag.

Front strap attaches around headstock.

Pull tank back so bars turn
Side bags then can be angled very slightly forward to fit your knees in

Only a small amount still looks fine

Then using 1 strap or 2 per side depending on which method you use attach side bags to side fairing/ crashbar ect

The side bags do not need to be ubber attached as long as the front side is secure as they will naturally be pushed on by wind blast and your knees.

the side bags our a little fiddly to attach but most people will not use for everyday use on off

I will only use them when I have no room left anywhere else

???????? Ive got one and it fuggin fits !!! how complicated can this be ?

The Femsa set up is ok-ish fastens on well and does not move, and does not hit the GSA wind deflctors, i will try and get a pic or three off Photo chuckit if it works tonight.

On my 1150 the Hein Gericke set up is fine if you are just using the side panniers, the standard BMW tank bag will fit over the top and secure the panniers

We also sell at our wonderful emporium Hein Gericke Dudley a Tuareg 15-25Litre tank bag which is shaped for the GS and V-Strom Tank, having tried it on my bike it fits well indeed, also SW Motech do a shaped tank bag called a Shorty which i have ordered in to try out :)

I'll have to post some pics of them on the bike :thumb

The saddle bag tank bag does seem a bit of a pig to fit as i've tried myself
