Can you guys recommend a tank bag for the RT LC. I'm wanting to stop using the top box which acts as a sail BUT need somewhere to put the flask and sarnies ;) What are you using ?

Dosen't the LC come with panniers ?.

Yes , but he is probably like me and rides for 98% of the time without them (lighter , better through gaps , more economical , ........................)

I have a baglux on my 09 RT , and was wonering if anyone had new (baglux) cover which fits LC tried out yet ?

This would solve my tankbag "problem" for the new purchase .................

The SW Motech Quick lock bags work well. Holds the bag clear of the paintwork. I've got an evo tank ring and City bag from my GS that works fine on the RT. The Givi quick lock type bags work well to.

Cheers Fluffmeister, looks good....One question tho, is it waterproof or do you have to put a rain cover over it ?

Comes with a rain cover but I've not needed it as the fairing keeps it dry on the RT. Like you I leave my panniers and top box off for day to day use and get everything I need in the tank bag, just reverting to the panniers for work and touring.

I didn't like it as I'm a big fanny when it comes to the paintwork on the tank as it sits in the tank like the GS bag does, I had the SW motech and tank ring left after selling my LC GS so popped it on the RT ....... Jobs a good un :)

If anyone is interested I've got a couple of R1200RT tank bags for sale. No interest on here a few weeks ago so I've put them on Ebay. Item numbers are 201382199387 and 201382198689.

I have the BMW one , which is great quality, but not very big.
Also , just got back from Germany and the bottom soft corners of the bag have been rubbing the paint
near to seat , it has rubbed off the rubber on the bag base but fortunately not damaged any paint.

Not too good then really as its not cheap.
Fits well though.

Thanks for the info Vrodash, think I'll give that one a miss. Looks like the tank ring thingy is the way to go.
