tank of water not fuel

had the tank off sunday ,gave it a clean out,few lumps of water in the tank, when filling up with fuel on wet days ,have seen water go in as you open cap,oooooh no, the drain hole was clear when i checked it, seems to be better to sit on it as you fill up than on the side stand because all the water runs round the outside edge and then down the hole. i can;t be the only one that this has happened to.

Roly, a mates 1150Adv had the same problem , sorted by a shot of compressed air down the filler neck drain hole to unblock the tubing. If you get water in your fuel it will upset your fuel level indicator/gauge and give a false reading.
