Tank Protection

They both work fine. The second one can be bought for much less than NN's price. If you want the protection to be almost invisible buy the clear film

Would be good if Wunderlich did a clear version of their tank pads.

I have the first pictured set and the top bit is coming unstuck. I'm fairly certain that I followed instructions but it needs resticking at the end nearest the seat. I'll probably put some double side tape on to fix it down again

I'd rate it as merely satisfactory, not particularly good looking and as with everything from NN expensive. Wouldn't buy again

Some of the alternative, including the Ventureshield film look better

Did you stick it over the bend or higher up avoiding the tank's contour close to the seat? Has the product worked at preventing wear/marks to areas where the pads don't cover. Just trying to ascertain if they are big enough in area or by their very nature, that being prominent and proud, they prevent scratchy Cordura gear rubbing at the finish?

The pad is fixed so that the lower end is just above the seat. There is now sign of any damage as a result of my clothing rubbing but I do prefer to sit to the rear of the seat rather than squashing myself up against the tank! As it happens I also have pieces of helicopter film stuck onto the tank to give a wider protected area

I just got the clear stickers from signaturecd.com. I can honestly say I had first class service from the guys who are based in Cyprus. Very good price too. Make sure you watch the 'How To' video for fitting.

They're currently developing some new tank film for the triple black GSA. I've given them a few design tips, so they should be with me within the next week or so.

I have a set of the first one for sale for £18 posted, the sides need new tape but centre is unused. The sides were only on for a few miles before I had it wrapped.
