Been searching the forum for The Perfect Tankbag for a 1150GSA. Brought it down to Wolfman Rainier or Famsa Enduro Max. And since people seem to have good experience with TT's 15/25L, that could be another candidate.

What I'm looking for is
- ± 20L
- ease of removal/flip over when filling up
- ease of carrying when off the bike (strap/backpack)
- water resistance... yeah I know, but then a clear top on rain cover to see map*

Any pros or cons regarding the above mentioned bags?

* Edit: regarding the Wolfman bag, I just recieved the following answer from WindingRoads: "The map pocket is fixed by Velcro to the tank bag. When you fix the rain cover, you move the map pocket to the top of the rain cover which also has the Velcro fixings."

Does anyone have any experience with the velcro fixings?

I've just bought a Wolfman Ranier - well made and a good fit on my 1100.
Fitting (4 fastex pinch buckles) / flipping backwards for refuelling is easy. The velcro fastening of the map pocket onto the back seems very secure (wide velcro strips and a double fastening at the front). I've not tried it with the rain cover yet so can't comment that.

How about ...

... the OEM one designed for the bike ? I happen to have one for sale, yours for £50 :augie

ps - Raincover is missing, but probably available from a dealer.

Thanks MattW, I am leaning towards the Wolfman, good to hear the velcro works.

Thanks, I have used the OEM one before (if it is the same as the GS version) and I agree that is does the job. I liked that it is waterproof. But the map section is too small, and it has only one additional pocket.

Just to add to this, I can confirm that after a right drenching last week in Scotland, the Wolfman Ranier is completely waterproof with its cover on.

The security of the cover and the velcro attachment of the map case is fine - survived a right kicking in gale force winds on the way home.

So, I went with the Wolfman, and after a 3-week trip through the Balkans (with only one or two drenchings) I fully agree with all of the above! Being able to take off the map segment is actually very practical, and the velcro surely does its job.

Only negative would be that a simple shoulder strap is not included :blast

Marvelous bit of kit :thumb2

Good stuff :thumb2

I agree completely about the shoulder strap though - I'll have to either buy or make one before my next trip.

First I thought they had forgotten to include it, but then I noticed it as a separate item on the web page. Luckily I found a suitable strap locally just before leaving.
