When starting my RT1200 after it has been parked up for a few days it initially makes a couple of tappety noises from the offside cylinder. It then sounds, and goes, okay. When it is parked it has to be on it's side stand due to acces restrictions (nearside up to the wall and under wall cupboards so i can't get in to put it on it's centre-stand). Noise only there very briefly and only when it has been parked for a few days.
I am wondering if the oil is draining away due to being on the side stand.
Does anyone know if it should be on the centre-stand when parked up to prevent oil draining away.?
Bike has only covered 4000 miles.
Thanks.

worry not. it's just rattling until the oil pressurises the cam chain tensioner.

park it on whichever stand suits you.
