Just got back after a long drive home but worth it for such a good event run by Hafren, once again.

That hill? - Those hills
On the first lap after struggling down from the wind turbines and then through the ruts at the bottom which popped my chain off I was begining to not enjoy it! - Then it came together and and I was a happy fella.
Stage 3 was my favorite with the right mix of track and nice and long.
That hill at the start of stage 2 was savage, with a little push to keep me going on lap one Imade it, on lap 2 no luck and on lap 3 a nice chap in a yellow vest did the job for me
Hat's off to those on HP2's (Bam Bam on his first rally), 990's and that old airhead - My XC felt to big and in those ruts the boxer boys would have had fun
I stopped enjoying myself just past the windmills. The decent down really took its toll. After that I was stumbling from rut to rut. Drained battery in the first boggy section and had to jump start it. Then the hill climbs...ouf.. The dakar albeit modified and lightend was not the tool for the job. took me three hours to complete one lap, by that time the track was so badly dug up that the was no way to stay on solid ground.
Need to get me a smaller bike I think.

That down hill was a real challange, I'd pumped up the rear shock on the XC and the bike was pitched forwarded onto a compressed front and the backed rose on the shock so I could hardley touch the ground!
Once down I let the shock down and created a low rider and it all came together...

What can I say after the windmill decent and the ruts, but before the stream crossing I knocked some electrics of the left cylinder firing on one then a fix the another 100 feet, exhaustion and then I puked
a mars bar and some water I was off again. 
Werford composed and going for another lap

I did the rally as first timer, though it was great. Tried the hill, thought it looked a piece of cake from the bottom, different story after the first bend. The marshal took it down and rode it back up past the difficult bit, as he took pity on me. He said you'll be alright from here up. Yeah right.
Anyway I got some photos of an HP2 don't know who he is/was, hope you can identify him. He gave it his best shot and my hat goes off to him, more bottle than me. Anyway great event want some more.

That's Ben Pope on his HP2 did the RoD the week before with his daughter on the back.
And the Marshal that took your bike down might have been Geraint Jones multi times British enduro champion and he looked like he was enjoying himself riding diffrent bikes and us as the frount runners waiting to go into the test for our first timed run and giving him loads of support.
Talent I can only dream off...
I'll be looking for some coaching on the Alto
not a chance i'm there to race. people pay me to teach them and I go all over with rally training.
I'll be at the Alto doing my normal thing getting up late passing everybody during the day back early for a nice shower prep the bike and a laze about couple of beers and bed same again next day.
you will be a competitor of mine if you are lying in the middle of the track you on one side of the track and the bike on the other but blocking the track it will take me 0.2 of a second to work out which one i'm going to run over. and it don't bother me which i pick.

Thanks for the picture above. We were the mad neibours and what a brill event. The windmill cliff could have been a little easier or just possiblely not so bloody scary. Yet the marshals/porters were most helpful when the bike neede carrying. Just a few beans would buy one for the day.
And an enormous thanks for the help with the seized fuel cap,broken key, using the breather to re-fuel, 11pm "torch" mechanics thing. To The bam Bam ensomble, Barnstormers BMW team words of wisdom so mucho thanks.

If team UK where paying my entry fee i would help them but alass they have not been in touch. I have a commitment to the people i'm taking to the event you might be riding for team UK but from what i've heard of the quality of there team I don't think they have much of a chance for the overall.

I shall be getting up early, watching people pass me, stop to take in the scenery. Maybe stop for a gentle lunch chatting to the senoritas, get back late, go straight to the bar..........repeat 5 times

I didn’t realise that we where such serious competition that you've done some digging on our form
- We have an ex drag racer – He’s great in a straight line on the smooth stuff
- We have a handy guy on a KTM – Well that’s as long as he’s popping ‘Jelly Babies’
- We have me on an Airhead – Great at going out and coming in but struggles on the bits in between
Yup I reckon if you stop to lend a hand or offer a few words of advice you could throw your chances by giving us that wining edge...

Realy enjoyed that, good thing about virtual armchair offroading, the bike doesnt need cleaning!!
Brings it home the diffrence in speed the guy was backing of for corners that i was flat in top. he actually gets some decent lines. looks like his suspension is set up badly can't tell if it's soft or hard but somethings wrong. he needs to use the rear brake more, it doesn't look like he's even bothered using it. not a bad test time for a 125cc fourstroke!!!
