How did we all do yesterday then ?
Another good event I reckon.
Are there any pics psosted anywhere apart from (MX247) ??
Are you out there Bob Jeffries ??????????????????
I hope the guy who crashed his KTM down the big drop is ok !

Bike No8

I've got loads of photos but have know idea of how to post them, any advice out there?

I was there with Alistair and John to support our rider Lee Walters on our Xchallenge, Lee came 4th in the Red Kite last month and thinks he's done well this time out.

Really enjoyed the day, even though I had a big off and I wasn't even riding anything!

Yeah, saw a couple of the X's.I had a big off too, and really dont know how i missed the trees as i was pretty much flat out on my crf,(no150) and took a dive into the woods.Im stiff as a board this morning !!!!
Hope you get your pics done ok

Here's our Lee

This is my first picture posting so here goes, first time the camera has been out for a long time as well, so please don't judge the quality of the shot.........
which probably means I'm in for a bit of stick.

Our Xchallenge being riden well by Lee Walters, stock bike apart from the more sensible tyres.

I was a bit apprehensive about this rally, as people had said it's a lot harder than some of the others ones, for the bigger bikes at least.

But actually I really enjoyed it :) I dropped the 950 three times on the first lap (all low speed), once in the second and not at all on the 3rd. The most interesting part was probably that hill at the start of the 2nd test, up and up, wondering when it will end, go round a corner and there's more hill! Today my arms ache pretty badly, I think I must have had a death grip on the bars all the way up.

Excellent fun though, I doubt my times were particularly good compared with everyone else, but I don't care much, just pleased that I completed the course :)

Just noticed, provisional results are out at http://www.hafrendbc.co.uk/

Lee Walters 2nd, ahead of Brian Eland by 10 seconds. The results don't differentiate between the sports and trail classes though, and there's no indication of bike capacity, cylinders etc. I'm somewhere on page 4 (number 191), but probably did quite well in the twins rankings, as there were only about 5 twins in the whole field :D

Brian Elland was on a 'trail' class machine I think (LC4..???)
The X Challenge/Trail thingy is a 'sports' class if Im not mistaken?

Whatever.....

Good rally though, lots to go at but not all that easy even on the liaison sections.

I wobbled around on a KTM around mid table ..... but after all.... it is my last event as a '40'... ;)

Yeah Brian's got an LC4 Adventure. The difference between "sports" and "trail" bikes can be a bit tenuous at times ... usually it's a trail bike if it has pillion pegs, indicators and brake lights. This means that road legal bikes like HP2s and KTM LC4s / super enduros get classed as trail bikes, but then people like Brian blow away the enduro bike riding competition :D

In the end it doesn't really matter though, it's all for the fun, innit :)

And whatever it's classed as, a stunning result for the BMW 650 (and the rider!) I'd say.

The X challenge is a trail class same as Elland's LC4,
Lee Walters had 1st premier after Simon Evans was reclassed into sports
and lee's also 40.
