Tattoo 27 Secure lodgings

I am hopeful to be able to see the Tattoo next year, bit of a pilgrimage for me as last 2 times I took my mum for weekend and as she sadly past this year I would like to go over for at least the weekend if not longer if there is anything else on in August next year. So my questions are , somewhere safe to park the GS while at show . Will try for accommodation outside the City this time , don’t have to worry about pushing the wheelchair now . So some recommendations please on somewhere to stay for the weekend or longer. Plus safe parking for bike . Will book seat in new year so I don’t have to climb the stairs.

As beautiful as Edinburgh is, it’s also full of thieving toe rags!!
I’d be tempted to find somewhere just outside with a train station (cause bus travel really sucks) and leave your bike safe. Linlithgow is still one of my favourite towns with loads of pubs and restaurants……….and only one stop to Edinburgh. South Queensferry too

………I wouldn’t write off Stirling/ Bridge of Allan either. 45 minutes away on train and probably a better castle to visit than Edinburgh. Wallace Monument as well - if you’re feeling fit

Past the Wallace Monument when I was picking up car late May . Was heading for boat at time so no time to stop . But these are ideas I am looking for . Thank you
