I know that this is a fairly pathetic question but where do you guys fit you tax disc holder. My 1200 that I picked up last week has a cheap holder attached to the front beak where it looks absolutely naff. :nenau

There's a frame just inside the side panel, with a hole in it especially for a decent tax disc holder.......

Warning: we'll now get 100 numpties telling why they keep their disc in their wallet.........front nearside is where the law says....that'll do for me......

Cheers

I think i'll go with the Dutchmans idea, the moths in my empty wallet would probably eat my tax disc. :clap

No, it's not threaded......it's just a clearance hole, about 7-8mm.......so you'll need a NUT & a BOLT.........

Done it - Cheers - Looks much better up there than on the front of the near side cylinder. (Why don't the dealer's put them there in the first place??).

Thanks, Dutch. My 1200GS has the tax disc in a naff holder attached behind the nearside cylinder head. I've bought a decent holder (like yours) and will fit it as per your picture. Best place I've seen so far.

I think, Tod, that yours was actually a very reasonable question. I'd wondered the same thing myself.
