Tax payable for items bought from the US?

Anyways imports are all down to harmonisation codes........I know a bit about that and save a few thou every year due to this fact.
Do I really want to share it though?

The answer is no, but you can ask your HMCE peeps and they will admit to the loophole after much cajooling etc..;)

that is f**king excellent - I actually send off to Aerostich for sizing today but will never buy the Red suit now
 
I bought a sargent seat off Ebay.com last year and told the seller to post to my uncle in San Jose.

The twat didn't read my instructions and shipped it fedex 48 hour or something like that to Hertfordshire.

Cost him $250 which was about what I paid for the 'as new' seat.

Not my problem but I had to pay £48 tax/duty instead of sticking in my luggage 3 weeks later.

what a cnut, almost gave him neg. feedback
