I'm pretty sure that I've seen pics of how to decat a standard exhaust on the forum but can't seem to find them again.
I've a 2010 TC and recently fitted a PCV with the standard, out of the box map.
Love the change it has made to the way it drives. Smoother and pulls much better low down. Think its slightly quieter, too.
Fuel consumption doesn't seem to have changed much.
I now want to decat the standard exhaust and keep the stock silencer, at the moment anyway.
Picked up a stock exhaust in good condition with a slight dent on the underside of one pipe for £25 on eBay.
Don't want to start cutting my original exhaust in case they start checking for emissions on bikes in the near future. Thanks VW!
Watch the price of used, standard exhausts go up on eBay then!
Before I plug in the disc cutter, any advice on the best way to do it or where are those pics?
Do I cut around the cat or lengthwise and open it like clamshell?

Just decated my TC and removed the flappy valve. Visited Hilltop as well.

Great improvement, but stand by to by some ear plugs, it does get significantly noisier.

Very glad I did it though.
