Tantalisingly close now...!

I promised to set up a whatsapp group for those attending this year, so that we can be in comms if necessary over the event weekend.

It would certainly be brilliant to get all the attending tossers together for a pic and a chinwag at some point. Then there's the beer tent debrief :D This will be particularly useful given that some of us are camping at the circuit, some in town.

I will set it up now - thus far the inmates will be -

  • Wapps, Don, Myself, Alistairm

Hopefulls, should the necessary planets align -

  • Toddy, Ev

My mates from home -

  • Mark, Brads

So.... if you would like to be on this group, please just PM me your whatsapp number (Richard, Ev, Don, Toddy I already have yours).

Anyone else who's planning to attend, please shout out.

If you find yourself on the group but you can't go and don't want to be troubled with endless comms from lost people, just exit the group.

Cheers, or should I say Sante!

P

Will be in the area, and may pop over to gedinne on sat or Sunday to see some racing.

Mark - Camberley, 1000cc BMW, the sporty one.
Brads - Cheltenham-ish, ageing 1200GS

Both travelling with me on the HMS Dieppe!

I’m just now trying to put something together for this. I’ve emailed the campsite in Gedinne and have a reply from Charlie Colson that a tent pitch is available. It’s totally off the cuff for me, I need to check my kit to see if I even have sufficient equipment for the weekend.

its a really great event… if you can make it happen I don’t think you’ll regret it. Camping at the circuit is fun but basic. The evenings are ‘sociable’ 😊.

That's great news - do let me know if you want to be added to the 'where is everyone' weekend whatsapp group!

Do we have a fix on the attendees?

As far as I can make out, this is the schedule:

Event Timetable & Running Order
    • Friday, August 21 (Practice Sessions):
      • Practice runs continuously from 9:25 AM to 6:10 PM.
      • Evening: DJ night "Radio Tu M'Enerva" in the beer tent from around 8:00 PM. [1]
    • Saturday, August 22 (Practice & Racing):
      • Practice starts at 8:25 AM.
      • Racing runs from 10:15 AM to 6:00 PM (with a break around midday).
      • Evening: Trophy presentation at 7:30 PM, followed by live music from Alain Genda & The Calendar (approx. 9:00 PM) and The Boomaz (approx. 11:00 PM). [1, 2]
    • Sunday, August 23 (Races):
      • Racing runs from 8:55 AM to 5:40 PM. [1]

Admission & Practical Info
    • Ticket Prices: Friday is €20, Saturday is €30, Sunday is €30, and a full 3-day weekend pass costs €40 (free for under-16s).
    • Note: Tickets are sold at the track entrances only (cash only); no online pre-sales. Camping is open from Thursday, August 20 to Sunday, August 23.

If you want to buy T-shirt, it is generally best to buy one on arrival, as they do sell out.

If it follows past years, you need to pick-up a charge card, which you load with euro to buy food and beer.

I am happy to host a BBQ on, I suggest, Saturday night.

I can do all the shopping etc for it. All I need to know is the numbers and any dodgy dietary requirements.

Likewise wine and / or beers.

Arriving Friday for me Richard, travelling down Thursday and stopping over at Maidstone before an early train Friday. Choices were limited as many crossings are sold out.

That is very kind - I will suggest that to my local guys. Sounds like a great way to gather the team.
