Assuming the OP uses motorbike boots there's a good chance he won't feel them rubbing the frame. But it's a bike and things get used. Cars get shiny steering wheels and fingernail scratches on door handles.
Get over it and put on some helicopter tape. Alternatively there is probably Ventureshield kit
