Those that have the Techlusion R-259 box fitted, do you know if it will fit the 2 spark Adventure?

The only reason I'm considering fitting one is because I'm concerned about running lean and damaging the engine. The main plug looked a little grey although the bottom plug looked slightly browner. I don't want to spend £200 and find that I needn't have bought it as it seems most of the Yanks that fit these do so mainly to cure surging, which my bike does not suffer with.

If so what settings would you recommend for Y-Piece and Remus Revolution (with baffle) fitted? I know each bike is different and only a dyno can really sort out the fuelling correctly, but some base settings would be useful - or is it just a "seat of the pants" tuning system?

I fitted the Remus Race can, Y-Piece and K&N to my Twin spark and it is running very weak with the plug nearly white. I have since fitted the R259 an ridden a further 200 miles on base settings and then checked the plugs, which are still showing the bike running lean. Next I tweaked the settings and the plugs look better after a 70 mile run but I'm still not happy that the bike is running too lean. The end of the pipe suggests that the bike is running with a good mixture, but the plugs tell a different story

I have sent a mail to Techlusion and await a response, I have tried to get into TTS but the earliest that they can do it is in three weeks time. I will try Dynospeed but the phone is constantly engaged.
The bike feels great to ride and does not pink or run hot, also there is very little vibration so maybe it is running OK ???

Simon.

If you suspect your bike is running lean [and from your description of the plugs it doesn't sound like a certainty that you are] I think you'd be best to have your bike set up correctly before you start adding more variables to what may be malfunctioning system.

First thing I'd do is get it checked by a dealer and if there is a problem and he can't fix it only then start down the Techlusion route.

boxer, I take your point about messing things up, but I don't actually think there is a problem with my bike, more a sympton of the effects of fitting a Y-piece and Remus Revolution.

Cecil, you have answered one question, though - the fact that the R-259 fits the 2 spark bikes. Whilst it may not have cured the mixture completely on your bike, it seems better than if you had just left it - the smoother running confirms this. I suppose the dyno is the optimum way o fine tune things in the end, but also enusre that things like the throttle bidies are in sync to start is important.

I agree and fully intend to get the bike set-up, but its just a case of finding a dyno centre that is not fully booked up for the next month.
To be honest the only sign that the bike is running weak is that I get about 15~20 miles more to the tank and the plug colour, other than that the bike runs perfectly and feels a lot more responsive with the pipe and y-piece.
