Somewhere out there.
Thinking of getting one for my 1150 gs
Anyone got ideas on base settings for stock air filter, cat and Remus end can.

Are they worth having?

Get a BB chip or have the fuelling re-mapped at Hilltop Engineering :thumb

We had Techlusion units supplied for our F650GS's for our 'Long Way Home I' trip and both bike's suffered problems with the Motronic units, long term, due to them :nenau

They might be better these days though

I’d agree with Micky. Have tried the following fuelling mods:
  • TFI1030i
  • BB Chip
  • PCIII
  • Hill Top OEM ECU Remap
Both the TFI and PCIII leave messy wires and add extra connectors – which in my experience ultimately fail. The TFI can only add fuel rather than reduce – fine if your bike is running lean but no good if it’s running rich.
Whichever route you go, I’d suggest getting it set up on a proper dyno rather than guessing settings or copying settings from someone else.

Hilltop is the best option in my opinion but you are limited if you want a remap at a later date.

Cheers
I got a techlusion 259 for a good price from somewhere on here. Easy to install and not unsightly
The manufacturers have given me some settings to start with for my set up so I will try them but booked into TTS to have it set up properly and see.

I live to far away to have a remap and think the bb would be better for can y piece and air filter.
As per instructions standard ccp installed and seems ok but not had time to give it a run
Will see

Techlusion ist gut!

I've had a teclusion unit fitted to my 1150GS sine 2003 and it works perfectly - no unsightly wiring, it just plumbed right in.

Much better throttle response, bike feels so much smoother and even.
For me the default settings were pretty close - an afternoon of tweaking and making small mods saw a small improvement which I've retained ever since.

It's a very simple plug & play operation. Enjoy!

Cheers,
Fin.

PS: Forgot to mention, Y piece and Remus can fitted.

Took the bike for a good run today.
Bit of motorway, a and b road. First thoughts powers the same as before. Fine I was happy with that.
when cold the engine seemed A little noisier just after pulling away but that seem to quieten when the engine warmed.
Seemed to be a lot smoother. I never really had much of a surging problem but What was there has gone and when cruising under 60 and the engine just felt a lot more flexible I was keeping the engine buzzing at 3k rather than changing up to stop the surging.
Taking roundabouts and tighter turns I was able to stay in a higher gear than before.
I am still on the stock settings that techlusion gave me for my set up and for what I paid I am well please. It has made the bike much more fun to ride. Hopefully even better when it goes on the Dyno next week.
