All,
I took delivery of a Zumo 550 earlier this week and set about installing it last night.
I decided to tap into the accessory socket on the left of the instrument panel (1150GSA). I actually cut the Brown and Red wires underneath the socket and crimped them back together with the earth and live wires supplied with the zumo. I preferred the thought of having the Zumo hard wired instead of using a plug in the accessory socket.
Question - I thought this power was on the ignition! but even with the ignition off the Zumo is still powered up! I was hoping when the ignition was turned off then the Zumo would also turn off. Any ideas?
To check, I removed fuse 3 and yes the clock and Zumo lost power - so at least I didn't tap directly into battery power!
Anyway - the Zumo appears to be a great peice of kit.
Thanks for any advice.
