Guys, has anyone else had these problems?

a. When switching on the Zumo a load of technical pages come on and stay there?
b. The Maps take 10 to 20 minutes to draw at start up, and 5 minutes to redraw thereafter?
c. On the screen the Map freezes but speed, direction and the description line at the top still work while on the move?
d. The Zumo freezes on – no matter what you do (Following instruction on the Garmin site) it stays on, until you take the battery out?

Well these are my problems, I have been in touch with Garmin, who have been very helpful, they advised me to;

1. Ensure I have the latest downloads/updates – especially “GPS CHIPSET TYPE G” as this is software for the antenna. (Did this – Made no difference to the above).
2. Do a “MASTER RESET” as follows;
• Switch off the unit
• While Pressing the bottom right hand corner of the screen with your finger power up the unit.
• Choose Yes to clear all user data. (It did have another question first something to do with which country you were in – I just pressed to England).
• Once this has been done leave the unit switched on, outside in an open area in full view of the sky (Locked on the bike/in the car) for 45 minutes so it can acquire satellites.
Again did this – made no difference to my unit…

3. Next step to send the unit away for the tech guys to look at – just about to do this.

Yes, same problem no matter what I do, so I sent it back to Garmin for them the check it out / send me another one!!!!!

Cheers

If you did what they told you to do and there is no difference, then send it back to Garmin. I never heard about that kind of problem and Im a Garmin dealer in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Here in Serbia if someone have troubles with Garmin we can replace the unit with the same. It has to be bought in Serbia.

Well a replacement Zumo arrived today - Not a new one but a overhauled unit (Looks newer than my old one). the note said the old one work fine for them, however they have replaced it because it maybe a intermitant problem..
I am happy with that, just need to set it up again and use it...
