Hi Guys,

Just got my new Technoflex shock for the front of my 1200GS.

The rather hopeless manual shows that the Factory Setup has the Rebound set at 30 clicks.

The trouble is, it doesn't say from which end of the adjustment range - 30 clicks from the fastest rebound end, or 30 clicks from the slowest rebound end!

My presumption would be that the setting is 30 clicks from the fastest rebound end.

Can someone confirm that? I expect Wilbers are the same given the apparent similarity in design.

Thanks,

Dave

IIRC my Wilbers shocks only have a mere 22 clicks of adjustment. Just how much fiddling does one man really need?:nenau:D

I'd guess at that desired setting being from the softest possible setting.

i think it's normally from fully screwed in, but don't hold me to it.

Yep - every shock I've ever used counts the clicks starting with the adjuster screwed fully in.

Unfortunately, the notion of fully screwed in doesn't work on the Technoflex. It is like the WIlbers - rebound adjustment is on the bottom of the shaft, so there isn't really an 'in' or 'out', just all the way to the left, and all the way to the right.

I'll e-mail Technoflex. Given the quality of the instructions, which are not only lacking in virtually any useful information but also read like they were translated from German to English by Google Translate, I thought I might have a better chance of obtaining the answer on the forum.

Cheers,

Dave

all the way in clockwise, looking at the bottom of the shock in the case of the wilbers and ohlins rebound. just like screwing in a bolt.
