Chaps, I have been quiet for a little while. New job, new house less time all the usual crap. Anyway I am not sure how many still use the e-mail group ( I will post to the BB) anyway,
My father is looking at a Y plate 1982 R80RT with a reported original 60K on the clock. It has an MOT but has not been ridden for at least a year as it was bought as a spare by its current owner who has an R100RT.
First Question - Is anyone aware of any pitfalls of the R80RT, what to look out for etc.....
Second Question - The bike is in Hockley in Essex and are any fellow GS'ers in the area? preferably of the techy variety that would be happy to give up 20 minutes to give the RT a once over? Don't want the old fella to go and blow the £1000 being asked an end up with a heap of shite?
Look forward to hearing from those with any info they deem to be useful.
