Been trying to through to Garmin four times today. As I have been over the past week. Gave up after 10 mins each time. Message ! All our operators are busy ! I have tried both telephone numbers from their email that they sent me. Any clues on how to get their attention ? Getting seriously pissed off with their set up.

So why give up after 10 minutes? Sure - there have been times that it's taken 16, 25 minutes but I got through.
If you hang up at 10 and call in again, you're at the end of the queue again.

If you call them right on when they open up (8.30) then you can get lucky and get straight through. Failing that, as others have said, get yourself comfy, use Skype and a headset, ring them, then read the online newspapers whilst you wait for an operator to come on the line.

Typically have to wait about 30 minutes. Worst was 45 mins, best was instantaneous (when I rang them at 8.30am)

I just pop down to their European HQ 20 mins from home and they usually sort it while I sit in reception drinking their coffee and reading their mags.

No, but that's because they are GPS experts, not aeronautical engineers

There are any number of GPS makers, but AFAIC, only one worth using for 'proper' adventure riding/driving


PS if you do a search on this very forum, you will find another phone number that will get you through a lot quicker, avoiding the automated Doris queueing system

They do supply a lot of GPS's for aircraft, and very good they are too
