They run Hare and Hounds enduros which are much easier than time card enduros, basically the event will be 3 to 4 hours long and you ride as many laps of a 5 to 10 mile course as you can in that time, usually run on a mix of farmland and woods.
I use a DR350 Suzuki and sometimes a full blown competition Husky250 which is brutal

, but tou can have a great time on something small and light e.g. KTM 125/200. Chiltern Hills prefer the use of a trial rear tyre, it causes less wear to the ground than a Moto-X tyre and charge a small fine if you have a MX type tyre fitted.
the cost is about £40 to enter no licence needed as your entery gets you a day licence. clothing ideally moto-X pants, boots and shirt & gloves , body armour is a must and a crash helmet. Training..... down the pub
But before you launch your self into the mud hole of enduro, go along to a couple of meetings as a spectator, and check out how things run, What goes on before you start riding, how does scrutineering work etc.
If you do take enduros up you will have a ball and wont be able to move for a coulpe of days after.
Oi Steve, less of the age if you dont mind
