Ten Year Old BMW Suit

Been looking at different suits narrowed it down to two ; The Rukka or BMW.

Speaking to colleagues and one has informed me that his uncle, who is a fussy, must have the best, type of guy has a BMW suit that he brought at the same time as buying a new GS approximately ten years ago. It apparantly was top of the range at the time was hardly worn and is in as new condition.
This is as much as i know about the suit (suits actually as his wife has the matching item) I am going to look at the suit on Friday, try for size and buy if ok. Does anybody know what kind of specification the rallye type suit was like approximately ten years ago? Was goretex around at this time? Will it be breathable? Waterproof ? basically is it worth bothering about as technology and materials may have moved on massively and these suits are not comparable to the new items? I dont know;
Any info prior to looking at the suit would be good

Take a look at this post of mine from a while back. They may well be the Kalahari. They came in some `different` colours and my trousers have removeable goretx liners which are held in by press studs rather than a zip. The liners appear to be the same material that is on my new Rallye Pro 2 jacket. There are no zip vents in the trousers.

Could be the very thing, write up in the thread seems positive, will take a look at the suits and see, think the guy is looking for around £100 for each suit so need to compare similar stuff similar age on ebay.

I bought these on ebay for £60.00. (the original twat suit). Dated they are but sometimes fashion does a full circle. Some of my mates seem to think it's a shell suit. According to the brochures it's a 'Marrakesh' enduro suit.
