A Hilleberg tent is what you need.

http://www.hilleberg.se

Probably one of the best tent makers in the business, will last for years with basic care. Well designed, packs light.....

I have a Nallo 2 for sale as have just upgraded to a Nallo 2 GT.

Your's for a third off list price. PM me if interested.

I've always found the best tents for biking are Khyam. The Igloo is great at £135 it is a hexagon shape that stands up to the wind very well. Also erects in under a minute, no separate poles, flysheets, ground sheets etc, it all comes as a fold up spider shape. Click all the poles 'straight' and up it goes, all you have to do is peg it down. I use mine all year, s'great. Also, I'm always first in the pub while me mates are struggling with poles and flyaway canvas etc. :thumb

You didn't read my first post .... I thought £300+ was a bit too rich for my wallet!

Your Nallo 2 is more expensive new! Thanks for the offer :D

I think I will go for the Eurohike one or the one I saw in Blacks at the weekend.

Thanks for all your advice.

Do a search for the £49 tent I posted about in the Bargain section. Nothing is better < £150. Lots of people bought it after I recommended it and they love it.

get a cheap one from tesco and you wont worry about some pissed up tosser ruining it and if it gets wet and you cant be assed to dry it you can bin it :thumb

Millets have a special offer on Euro Hike at the moment , £36 for a 2 man and porch ( is Millets and Blasks the same company ? ) i think they come in green or dark grey and black , looked good :thumb

I was in the blacks at the weekend. The one I saw that I liked was a 2 man tent with their own Black's brand. It was £80 and called a crux. Neat little LED light that goes in the tent and the porch.

Reasonably small in pack size and not too heavy.

*** Just found your Eurohike one. Looks the same as the Blacks one (and I am sure they are the same company .. just a different brand to charge a bit more money). Only £38!! *** I will be visiting Millets this weekend :thumb

Snoopy - found the tent you recommended .. they are sold out!

get one of these and charge admission ;)

A tent party :D :D

Vango for me, bought a force ten 2 man in 1979 used it for rallies, summer camping trips abroad, winter expeditions etc, -7deg one winter Belgian trip used to go to the St nicks rally in Ostend in December, must have been mad...remember drinking some glowing yellow antifreeze stuff with a Norwegan from a 2 litre pop bottle, he`d packed his ski`s on his bike  so he could get home cause he knew all the roads would be blocked when he got back! Happy days, anyway back on topic, I still have the Vango and me kids use it now for weekends with their freinds, no rot still waterproof etc.
Bottom line is if all you need is a few days summer camping each year most cheap tents will suffice and be waterproof and stay upright, I would imagine that you can get a reasonable tent for £100 that would suit your needs but then again it has been 27 years since I last bought one!

Cheers

Anyway here's a picture :mmmm

Not the lightest tent - but looks bloody good for £40!

That is a bargain, especially if you can split the weight between two bikes.
