maybe "ellis brigham" - i was looking a few months ago - they were good in respect of advice and price.
(i ended up with a slightly cheaper north face 2 man tent - none of the terra nova tents i was looking at had tent poles short enough to fit in my (1200gs) vario panniers (except "on the diagonal" if you know what i mean)...the north face one fits fine - i can get the whole thing in the exhaust side pannier and squeeze my "softie" bag in too!
Field and Trek are currently doing 15% off all full price items at the minute - their Quasar is at £319, down from £399, so I'm guessing the discount doesnt apply - still its a good price anyhow.
Was it badged by wild country twenty years ago. If so it is a very good tent. One of the best. But if it is not the same as wild country I have no ferkin idea
The Quasar is a very good tent. But (if you havent seen them!) worth looking at the north face.
My main argument is with the Terra Nova tents. (ive had a few) very good but are a bit more fiddley to pitch nice and tight.
Where as the north face.( ihave a mountain 24) pitch drum tight very fast and no need to move pegs again and again to get ot right. Easier to attach the fly sheet ......Worth looking at.
But if you still fancy a terra nova . go to the web site and they do ex-demo tents at greatly reduced prices.
I used a north face starburst for 8 years, very nice tent, very quick to pitch, lasted well, very tough. Sadly it now needs replacing with something a bit tougher.
