Took my MT out for a little run around town today, spotted in my local dealer. (where i bought my MT from) a 1150GS on a W Plate, 20k miles for £3,995.
It was yellow with colour coded panniers, nice i said, can i take it for a spin?
They said:
Sure, if you do, will you buy it?
Me Say:
Errm, maybe, got to ride it first, never ridden one!
They say:
If your not serious, then thats £20 for half hour ride
Sod, that, so rang BMW Oxford, enquired about a 1200 GS extended test ride, he said what do you mean by 'extended' i just said a forum told me to mention it
He said, i don't have any problem with you borrowing one for 4 hours
I also asked about the GSA, he said, how about this, i'll book you for 2 hours on the GS, and 2 hours on the GSA back to back tomorrow?
Me very happy with that, looking forward to tommorow now
I did have a sit on the local GS, it felt bloody heavy
Hope the 1200's feel a lot lighter, although i am 6ft4, i only weigh 10.5 stone!
