Went out today on some Guzzis!

Photos are posted here.

Tried two bikes, V11 Cafe Sport and the new Breva 750.

The Cafe sport is a bit like my R. I found that it was much more responsive (read: faster). Not sure if that is due to the Sport Exhaust on it. It certainly sounded better than my bike on standard pipes with Cat. Generally I thought it was the sort of bike I like. The only bad bit was getting wrist pains after a bit of filtering through traffic. Not sure if it was me being more nervous on a strange bike, and therefore tensing up more. The riding position is very similar to my R so I thought it was weird getting the pain.

The Breva is great bike. So easy to ride and get used to. Not as fast as the V11 but due to the ease of use, I was a lot faster when filtering with it. Also could be because it is a bit smaller. Had problems finding first gear and neutral. Had a chat with the mechanic that took us out on the ride, and from his response I think it is a matter of getting the technique right.

Also the dealer in Colliers Wood was very friendly. Kept us fed and watered whilst we took a break from riding their bikes.

If anyone is interested the test day continues tomorrow. Some clothing bargains, if you like Guzzi logo stuff. Leather jacket for £180, Touring Cordura jacket for £180. Down from around £300.

Walpole Mews off Walpole Road SW19.
