A number of years ago, I bought a Triumph version of the twat suit. And it was a vast improvement in almost all ways. Think it was a well old rally pro suit I had.
Weight, waterproofing and warmth were much better. The only issue is that the legs were designed for the more vertically challenged.
So I come on blended knee to the hive mind to enquire of;
Long textile trousers, 36in long., warm, rather important to me, and not black. I don’t mind black mixed with grey or whatever, just not plain black. Removable, rain liner and removable fleece liner. Vent zips for warmer times.

Budget up to £300.

Any recommendations?

A version of the Revit Sand 5 H2O (possibly used with your budget but keep your eyes open) fulfils all your criteria as the leg length is up to 36. Personally, I think you are going to need a bit more money if you want new and an established brand with a good reputation (and that leg length).

Currently in stock at SBS in the size you want and a grey/silver/black combo for £349.99

The Sand 4 is still about so have a search around. Priced at about £250.00 and great trousers.

Why not contact the excellent Hideout Leather, to have some made-to-measure?

Do not be put off by the word ‘leather’ in the company’s name. They are very good at textiles, too. Besides the advantage of having clothing that fits properly, you’ll be able to have an input into the style, whether you’d like a belt or braces (or both), ventilation and shape / location of any pockets.

Highly recommended.

Having had my Rukka Mesh kit altered* by Kate and her team back in 2019, I can tell one thing, it’ll cost considerably more than the budget fellow has in hand.

*my C3 long trousers, weren’t long enough, nor the knee armour was sat in the right place. So there was a need to add 3” of fabric bellow the knee and move armour pockets down by 2”.
Similar story with the jacket, it needed sleeves extending bellow elbow by 2”. The total cost for this bespoke job, was £670.

I think you will seriously struggle with that budget chap. I too am lanky and most of the time find 36” leg to be just about a ok, but not perfect. Great when stood on tera ferma, but on the bike, another 1.5”-2” would be welcome.

What sort of riding are you planing on or are doing?

Have you thought of layering system rather than full on, all in one trouser with removable liners?

For example Rokker single layer AAA jeans with ghost armour, combined with rather excellent Scott Ergo Pro waterproof over trousers, that pack nice and small into its own little mesh bag. Combined grand total around £450-£500.

Personally I have two sets of Rokker trousers, waterproof jeans and their cargo pants. Works for me, but again another 1.5” would be nice.

As I stand, my inseam is 35”. Most high street jeans are often too short for me too.

£150 and they will also their standard sizes to fit you so all in all they just come in at your budget. I think it’s definitely worth a call and if it all successful please let us know because I might go down the same route

I have 34/35 inseam and find that HELD and IXS cater for longer than normal legs maybe the German/swis are taller people and there garments are made to suit
good luck on finding what you require

Or you could try them and do the OP a favour, by reporting your success or failure :augie

I should possibly have said. The finished article needs to be 36 inches. I have a 33 inch leg and when I sit down, the extra 3 inches ensures I am not showing a shapely ankle to the world.

Ha... Was going to highlight
But then I read not all black...🙄
That's what you want though... Either these for £300 as new but black or hold out for another pair in BMWs lanky twat selection...😉
Had a 2nd hand pair of Street guard breeks in this size a few years ago and they were excellent with enough adjustment in the waist to make them work... Hard to get summat fer nowt so think on...😆

I'd agree Scott Leathers or BKS are worth a call. They do the Police kit and will be well versed in all shapes and sizes. If you want something off the peg give Keith a call at https://www.modulemoto.co.uk/textile-trousers.html
He has a vast selection of stuff and will have no difficulty measuring inseam rather than relying on manufacturer blurb.

Hello, lanky person here. I think those Lindstrands STR trews for sale by CJM were originally mine, they were bought from and modified by Hideout, same place mentioned by Wapping above, good shop.
Another good place to search is the Sportsbikeshop website as mentioned by the woodster - they have trousers for the taller person fo sho. For example, not exactly what you’re looking for I know, but I bought an excellent pair of Oxford Products armoured jeans from there recently in lanky barst length, not mega expensive, all the protection ratings. As the woodster pointed out, Rev’it trousers on the same website are listed as 36” leg in their Long length although you might need to go up a bit in budget.

I used Scott Leathers to make my Leather trousers, must be 15 + years now, they fit perfectly and look as good as new.
