I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this, and I won't be the last...

New 1250GS TE delivered today, with fitting for (existing) Garmin Nav 5 too. I'm trying to connect with Sena 20S.

I can connect Sena to TFT well enough (though it seems to swap between rider helmet and passenger helmet for some reason). I can connect iPhone to TFT as well, and play music through that.

What I can't seem to do is Nav V to Sena (reliably) so that I can use Nav 5 for directions. I managed once by deleting all connections from the TFT, connecting Sena to Nav 5 and then connecting Sena to bike, though it made the music skip and cut out out a bit. And then when I turned everything off and back on again, the connection between Sena and Nav 5 had disappeared.

Has anyone managed to connect everything properly? Or do I need to choose between:-

1. Connecting iPhone and Sena to TFT and using the iPhone for music and navigation (via the app)

2. Connecting Nav 5 to Sena and using that for navigation and media stored on SD card thing, and forgetting the TFT?

Either would work, I suppose, though I prefer to use the sat nav rather than phone so I don't have to worry about losing signal or keepign battery charged.

Is there any other advantage to remaining connected to TFT ?

Either would be fine, I suppose.

This should help...

I hav e the same set up using the normal procedure for phone and Sena to tft then use second phone pairing on Sena to the nav v.
Mine works perfect using this method. Start from scratch delete all off the ft and also the Sena, then start again.
Phone 1st.
Sena to Tft.
Sena to nav using second phone pairing.

Don’t forget the ride connected app for on screen speed limits etc.

With apologies to the OP for hijacking the thread a bit, if anybody knows of an actual way to upgrade my iphone 5 for IOS 13, so I can use the connected app, please let me know. Lot's of bullsh*t YT vids on how it might be possible, that's all. I'm not a smartphone faddie, so loathed to upgrade just so I can use the app!

Cant be done I’m afraid and just be aware apple are dropping updates for the 6s and old model SE later this year.

search on here or YouTube. Theres a video of the steps to follow by an American. Easy to follow and everything just works.

Here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzPoILCj-aU

I followed that and there were issues with the phone sometimes trying to connect via the sat nav, instead of the TFT - was hopeless. Unpaired the phone from the sat nav and all good since.

Are there any specific software limitations for the android versions. Was thinking of possibly hunting down a cheap second hand android.
