TFT Display Software Version

I got my new 2018 (2017.5) model a few weeks ago with the 001_015_090 software and I experieced some problems with connecting with the iPhone BMW Connected app. Sometimes the app would not connect to the motor and I had to reset the TFT (power off/ on) or reset the app or bluetooth.

This week my bike was at the dealer for the 1000 km service and I mentioned my problem and they updates to the latest and greatest, version 001_018_040

Since then I have no problems anymore and the screen seems to be a little bit more responsive as well.

Had mine updated today, bike been at the dealers for a few days because they couldnt guarantee that it would work first time and have to get BMW to connect remotely. I will discover the changes when I pick up the bike on Saturday.

No, not everyone... Just the people that were denied the kind of experience you describe below...

People having no issues with the TFT have obviously no reason to complain, but for some reason, they still feel compelled to come on those threads to boast that their unit is faultless, and why everyone is bitching, and blablabla...

Well knowing that some rando's unit on internet works as intended doesn't make me less salty than mine doesn't.

There has been enough evidence (and software version iterations) by now to definitely prove that this TFT software/harware implementation is prone to cause issues for some users, that's not even remotely debatable.

My only question is, will it be possible for people still having issues(myself included) to get a fix just with software patches? A lot has been improved since I got my TFT, but Bluetooth still is spotty, and I'm not sure it's just software Gremlins... We shall see...

Great news... I'm almost due for the 20'000 km service and will have them patch it with latest release. Hope this will solve my last BT issues...
