TFT screen cleaner hack

Last wash of the bike the screen stained with our hard water area droplets. Whatever I tried to clean off with just left them - until this. Mooching around in the cupboard came across shower clean daily shine. Seems to work a treat.

I’ve missed this... I’ve been looking forward to a TFT on my next GS and now I find out they don’t like hard water??

That shower cleaner could be slightly acidic as it claims to prevent limescale - not sure what the long term effects might be?????

Another warning with the TFT screen. I use Muc-Off to clean my bike and the last time I used it, it was a hot day and I didnt rinse the bike off quick enough with the result that the TFT screen has dried Muc-Off droplets on it. I have tried washing these off with soapy water and it made sod all difference. I will try this shower cleaner myself so thanks to the OP

I live in a soft water area, the TFT display still stains. I used visor cleaner to clean it.

Have ordered a screen protector just to prevent this(not sure it will make a big difference but we'll see)...

The screen is brilliant but for some reason, as soon as it rains or after a good wash, droplets dry in place only to leave mega marks... At some point I thought I actually damaged the water repellent layer by using too aggressive a cleaning product but was later relieved to learn they all do it...

Usually, a micro-fiber cloth can get rid of them stains. Looking forward to test a clear screen protector

Has anyone tried AutoGlym Fast Glass? It’s pH neutral, so could be worth a go.

That’s a polish, not a cleaner. No way would I put a cutting agent on anything like this.

Fast Glass is a gentle cleaner and different product altogether.

Best solution is Motul Helmet and Visor Clean.
Cleans without leaving any streaks visible

I’ve moved on from shower shine to soft and gentle make-up remover. Don’t ask! Anyway if you live with the love of your life, the female variety, they probably have such things.
