Can someone tell me the best thing for cleaning the TFT screen with.
Not had the bike long and in the sunlight noticed some spots on it which won’t just wipe off.

Cheers Steve

Doesn’t help your immediate problem Steve but maybe consider a screen protector ( I used speedo angels) to stop this being an issue?
Actually the alcohol wipe that comes with it may clean the screen.

I added a screen protector and just use glass cleaner

If the spots are dried water spots then something like a liquid car wax polish should shift them, then as suggested fit a speedo angel protector. WD40 is a good general all purpose cleaned for many oil base contaminants. Use sparingly on a soft cloth and buff off immediately. Then fit a speedo angel protector.

2 Clean micro fibre cloth water and small amount of detergent, don’t rub.

I think the advice from Hartley is a good path to go down. First of speedo angels are a great product. If you follow the instructions and use a bit of common sense then they are so easy to apply, without getting bubbles. Second, I would try alcohol wipes first - after having washed it with general purpose car cleaner and a spotless rag. (edit, as per grimo's advice - small circle motions to break it down gradually).

Best thing to clean a tft screen without damage is the screen cleaner you can buy for a TV screen....

Something like this.......

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303956337096

I’ve not used this particular brand ... just an example .....spray unto a cloth and wipe....

A bottle will last longer then you will probably keep the bike..

I fitted a speedo angel screen protector as notoriously easy to scratch/mark.

I just clean that with a wet wipe or wet paper towel :nenau

I use a very wet micro fibre cloth to wash the screen and then dry off with a dry micro fibre cloth.

Autoglym Fast Glass, been using it for 3 years, brings it up a treat.

Gtechniq GA perfect Glass or Autoglym Fast Glass, or if its realy bad Gtechniq W9 Water Spot Remover
best way is not to let the water dry on the TFT following washing, as its the soaps which leave water marks, rains usually much less of a problem.

Waitrose glass cleaner. 75p a bottle

God, I hate you people who live in soft water areas! :D

Our water here is about 50% chalk. After washing and rinsing, I rinse again with rainwater from the water butt before the tap water has had the chance to dry.
