Seems to me that most/nearly all of the problems, faults and hiccups that the 1100/1150GS suffered from or developed have been well and truly ironed out, sorted, modded, repaired, bodged, and reinvented to go around at least twice over. So much so we now seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel, unless of course a new member rediscovers the 'workshop manual'.
So thank goodness Mr.B*W has come up with a replacement bike, some new challenges beckon on the horizon perhaps.
Wonder who's 1200 will be the first to display throttle inbalance, jerky transmission, peculiar noises ....from any part of the bike...engine tick, tock, tinkle, clank, donk syndrome..etc etc etc.
The 1200 was developed with the express reason to keep this site entertaining.
I'm sticking with the 1150 until the 1200 has proven itself.
First technical point, with twin Lambda sensors and a more complex ECU I suspect there will be a significant reduction in finger trouble....meddling....syndrome.
