If you are a member here a big thanks to the gent on the R1200GS Rallye with just one pannier fitted for asking if I was ok whilst I was stuck in the traffic yesterday on the A14, I was fine but the bike was just too wide to filter with the panniers expanded I was only stuck for about 20 mins until a few gaps opened.

Cheers :beerjug:

A14 and the roads around were totally bolloxed yesterday evening by a couple of accidents - I took the backroads from Bar Hill to St.Ives but was still slow going with both panniers, made it difficult to filter.

That's what I did as soon as a gap opened got off the A14 and headed north away from the madness.

Panniers = evil

Makes filtering hard when the Varios are fully extended, especially on the narrowed lanes of the A14 roadworks - used the Thruxton R today, much easier to thread through the stationary traffic :)

I have the full aluminium OEM luggage on my GSA and at times it was tricky filtering on the M6/M5 southbound today.

I recommend the Metal Mule set up if you need to carry stuff.

Narrow and great for filtering.
